ABOUT THE GALLERY

Le Minotaure Gallery was founded in 2002 by Benoît Sapiro. A passionate art historian and accredited expert with the Compagnie Nationale des Experts, he specializes in artists of the École de Paris and in the European avant-gardes that emerged from the social revolutions of the early twentieth century. The gallery originally opened at 2 rue des Beaux-Arts in Paris, in the former premises of the renowned Surrealist bookshop of the same name.

A second exhibition space was inaugurated in 2023 at 23 rue de Seine.

Through its recognized expertise in its fields of specialization, its monographic exhibitions, the high quality of its publications, and its participation in leading international art fairs, the gallery has gradually become a sought- after interlocutor for major collectors and for French and international museums.
